once u get the LATEST software for your elgato finish the DL and then leave closed.

once u have it open locate a file called OBS.exe and double click. i sinceraly hope this helps u spencoįirst of all, go to OBS main page, then when it promptes u to select the source download, click "windows" then "original" then u should see an "installer" or "zip file" now u need to download the "zip" file, once that has completed there will be two folders inside, you are going to want to open the one that says 32bit. now simply open OBS as i mentionned from the EXE located inside the 32bit folder then u should see the elgato hd pop up under devices, now the reason for this is because the elgato software ONLY runs in 32bit mode so it is universal within all windows 7/8 pc's, now the reason your obs wasnt picking it up before was because the obs version u were using was 64bit. now with that being done u can go ahead and download the software to run the elgato.
